Feeling CALM, CENTRED & CONNECTED during the CORONAVIRUS CRISIS

During these unsettling times we wanted to reach out to as many people as possible and help them to feel more in control of their lives.


The Coronavirus has created a great deal of uncertainty and fear and as hypnotherapists, working with anxiety clients, for many years, we know that the best way to calm the nervous system is to reassure the mind, at a subconscious level.


To this end, we have designed a unique hypnosis audio to keep you feeling CALM and CENTRED and to feel more CONNECTED.



Listening to our 15-minute audio, daily and following The RASA Rule, (which, we will explain in this article), will put you back in the driving seat of your life and stop you spiralling out of control.


Worrisome thoughts do have a purpose, under specific circumstances. The mind is in fact designed to alert us to danger. It’s a part of our very biology and has kept us alive as a species, for a very long time. The central nervous system responds by naturally elevating cortisol levels, preparing us for fight or flight. It’s quite literally the nervous system’s survival mechanism.

The only problem with this system is that, the mind cannot tell the difference between what is real and imagined. Run worrying thoughts too often and you can compromise your immune system and leave yourself feeling even more vulnerable, both physically and emotionally.


How and why would this audio help you?

Your subconscious mind makes up 95% of your mind and is running the show. It is where your beliefs and memories are stored, and it ultimately dictates how you show up in the world. Think of the subconscious as your emotional mind, and your conscious mind as your logical mind. It makes sense that will-power alone is rarely enough to make permanent lasting changes.

When you are in a state of hypnosis the subconscious mind can absorb new powerful, thoughts and beliefs which create permanent lasting changes. When you listen to the audio daily, your mind learns by repetition. You are letting your mind know that this is how you want to feel, and this is what you now choose to believe. And that’s how change happens: easily and effortlessly.












What is the The RASA Rule?


The RASA Rule is a tool you use consciously throughout your day. It will help you stay focused and more present moment aware and help you to dismiss unhelpful, thoughts that are not true or real.


There are 4 steps to follow:  


1. You RECOGNISE the unhelpful thought.  You cannot change what you are unaware of. The earlier you notice your unhelpful thought, the easier it will be to change it. 


2. Next, you ACKNOWLEDGE the thought and thank it. You start with evaluating it. Avoid Judging the thought!


It’s important to do this, as sometimes our worrying thoughts are not real.   So challenge it – ask yourself - is it real? Is this thought true right now? ACCURATE thinking is the best remedy for any distorted unhelpful thinking.  Asking “Is it true?” or am I making this up? This helps you to evaluate it. If it is something you are making up, then you tell the thought to STOP and LEAVE and let it go. Your mind will do what you tell it because it has no choice! 

3. Then you simply SMILE. This will raise your feel-good hormones and change your state.  You can’t be worried and calm at the same time and smiling will trick your mind into believing you are calm. 


4. Finally, You ADJUST Your thoughts and CHOOSE a NEW POWERFUL THOUGHT.  Remember You are in control! You now choose to think thoughts that are accurate and truthful. Use the imagery in the audio recording to help you, you can take yourself in your mind to that calm and centred place to move you to a new feeling place. 


Remember Thoughts are NOT Reality and Feelings are NOT Facts!
